Future Events

Post-gathering, The House on the Rock has been fielding dozens of questions about future events. Many have expressed an interest in behind-the-scenes tours of the Attraction. The House on the Rock has been thinking about doing just that, and would like to know more about what you would be interested in seeing.

There have also been questions about The House on the Rock hosting a "steampunk" event, and we'd like to hear more--what are your thoughts on this? What would you like to see or do?

We encourage you to keep posting ideas for future events here on the blog--the more interest there is in something, the greater the possibility it can happen.

Love the Steampunk idea. The Tour 3 large room would be perfect for it.

Thanks again for the American Gods weekend. Wonderfully bizarre.

As the Guy in Milwaukee said, the Organ Room would be perfect for a steampunk theme.
Hells, you could just do "A Gathering of Geeks" and we'd all show up again just for the chance to wander the HOTR at night and backwards.
And we'd bring all the friends who are now saying "really? It was that cool? I wanna go!"

Agreed - I'm pretty much just looking for an excuse to spend another Halloween at the most magical place on earth.

If you are looking for another author event, I suggest Alex Bledsoe from mt Horeb. He writes a wicked set of vampire books! Vampires.....Halloween eve....The House on The Rock....Hmmmmmm! Think about it!

I love the idea of a steampunk event... with all your automatons, it will be great! ...and I also had a fantastic time at the American Gods event! It was one of the greatest nights of my life...

Vampires?
Oh god...
Please no.

A steampunk event would be perfect. I would imagine that the one difficult part will be in finding a cohesive enough 'glue' to bring in the type of crowd that was there at The Gathering. Something like a central steampunk figure may be hard to find!

With that said, if you folks decide to throw another party at the House, I will be there, even if it is vampire themed.

I would love for House on the Rock to host more events, I was at the Halloween with Neil Gaiman event and it was so so so much fun. I really appreciated that the staff opened up a portion of the House for the party, I really liked the all access passes, it meant that we were able to walk through the museum how ever many times we wanted, which was amazing!
I think the Steampunk Halloween sounds like a blast!
